No Closure Just Move On

  Hi, Dj Chloe! Please hide my identity. Please call me Mistyrose.

  I just want a piece of advice from you and your followers too.

  My high school best friend who also happened to be my ex-boyfriend came back again. First, we were only text mates. We talked about different things like being best friends again. Until the conversations led to talking about our past relationships.

  The conversations started growing deep between us. He told me that he loves me then he wanted me to give our love another chance. At first, of course, I said no because we’re both married. But he continued to convincing me for seven months until I gave in.

  We had an affair for two month only and decided to end it for the better and for our family. The problem is I want to know how to control my love for him. He is my first love that’s the reason why I fell again and if do we need a closure? Because I have questions hanging in my head.

  We never talked again after the break-up. We ended it thru text only because his wife found it out. I hope you can help me. I want to talk to him for our peace of mind. And for us not to continue our affair. More power and thank you.

   

  Dear Mistyrose,

  Why are you investing so much emotion and time finding a closure for this “affair”? When you have valid reasons not to? You’re married. Isn’t your husband worthy of your time? Your presence? Your loyalty?

  You focus so much on the “what might have been”. When it’s over and done with and all you’ve got is “today”. You’re not even guaranteed of a “ tomorrow”. No one is.

  You had a “taste” of what it’s like to cheat, was it good? I bet it’s not, in fact it has left you some kind of insanity. Finding a closure over something that’s not even worth a beginning.

  You don’t get closure in life sometimes. There are a lot of times you just have to move on and accept the fact that what’s not meant to be will never be.

  I hope you find the courage and the wisdom to deal with your life and to live your life in a way that’s pleasing to the One who gave you life.
