Is it okay to allow my daughter to start knowing her father?

  Hi DJ Chloe,

  First, thank you for all the songs you play specially on your time slot. Quite senti but they all remind me of the good old days and the not so good. I wrote because I wanted to ask you, if it’s okay to allow my daughter to start knowing her father? I have been a single mom since his dad left us saying he is not ready to be a father and a husband to me. In short, nabuntis ako.

  Okay naman kami, naitataguyod ko naman ang anak ko. But after six (6) years biglang nagparamdam ang ama and he said if I would allow gusto niyang makita ang anak namin. I don’t know what his motive is, and I am no longer interested. But I still think, my daughter has the right to know. Please tell me what to do.

  I see nothing wrong with it. Go ahead, alamin mo ano motibo and why he suddenly wanted to keep in touch. Malay mo nariform, hahaha or nakapag-isip.

  This is also a good way for you to reconcile with your past, so you can move on with your life. I’m not saying ‘di ka pa nakakapag move on ‘coz obviously it seems you’re doing okay. Pero s’yempre, it would be good if you’re in good terms sa ama ng anak mo for the sake of your kid. All’s well that ends well, right?
