Sometimes You Get To Have A Foolish Heart

  Dear DJ Chloe,

  I would like to ask a favor if you can have this as your Chloe’s Inbox for today. We will be having our graduation ball tonight and I plan to record this and play it during the ball.

  Congratulations on your successful show since I know you help a lot of people with their problems by giving sound advices. You make people feel they can surpass the trying times and hope for a better tomorrow. It is with the same reason why I’m confident that you can help me with matters of the heart. It may sound simple to others since “falling in love with someone” is natural for us. But the events and situation surrounding this makes it complicated. I fell in love with someone very young, half my age to be exact. We both work in a school and this feeling started the day I met her. Though at a young age, she is matured, simple and we share the same kind of laughter, so do speak. I already told her how I feel about her, following an advice from a friend, and she didn’t respond in a clear manner. Understanding that she came from a failed relationship, she finds it hard to trust someone now. I surely want to hear from you your advice on how I can make her feel secured for I have tried all that I can think of in making her feel loved and that she can trust that I’m here to stay for her. Can you advise me soon, for she will be leaving the school for another job. I’m afraid that when she leaves, I may have a glimmer of chance to win her heart. But that is a selfish feeling, I think.   Trust takes a lifetime of proving and I guess you’re already at your point in your life where you want to have a lifetime with her, right?

  It could be that she is finding it hard to trust again, or maybe, her feelings for you, may not be clear yet to her.

  You’re a friend, right? Wala naman ibang pwede kang gawin, brother but to prove to her through actions, and to tell her thru words that you really do love her and your intentions are clear and honest.

  One reason, I see why she probably did not respond in a clear manner, is because she is leaving, which means she’ll probably get to see you less.

  If she’s not ready for a commitment, then what you can do is wait. And while waiting, continue to show her your goon intentions. Malalaman mo naman ‘yan kung may pag-asa ka o wala habang nanunuyo ka.
