English singer-songwriter Adele has announced the postponement of her Las Vegas shows due to the Omicron variant surge, January 21, Friday.
Adele took Instagram to apologize to fans in a teary and emotional message. “I’m so sorry but my show ain’t ready. We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID,” she said.
“I’m gutted. I’m so sorry it’s last minute. We’ve been awake for 30 hours now trying to figure it out. We’ve run out of time and I’m so upset and I’m really embarrassed. I’m so sorry to everyone who’s traveled again,” the award-winning singer added.
Adele’s upcoming shows were affected by delivery delays and half of her team was already down with the virus. The Las Vegas shows would’ve run from January 21 to April 16.
