The Italian tenor and global music icon andrea Bocelli will be performing at the historic but now empty Duomo Cathedral in Milan Italy on Easter Sunday, April 12.
The show is self-entitled as “Andrea Bocelli, Music for Hope.” Bocelli will be accompanied only by the pianist of the cathedral, Emanuele Vianelli, who will play the one of the largest pipe organ in the world. This is a solo concert that wishes to imply message of love, hope and healing to Italy, one of the most affected countries of COVID-19 in the world.
In compliance with the Italian government orders, there will be no audience present and no access to public. However, the solo concert of Bocelli will be exclusively streamed globally on his YouTube channel.
“On the day on which we celebrate the trust in a life that triumphs, I’m honored and happy to answer ‘Sì’ to the invitation of the City and the Duomo of Milan,” Andrea Bocelli said.
The event is promoted by the City of Milan and the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo, produced by Sugar Music and Universal Music Group.
