‘ANG DAMI NA NANG-SCAM SA’KIN:’ Gigi de Lana reveals falling victim into fraud

  On Tuesday, June 20 – singer Gigi de Lana admitted to falling into fraud and took to Facebook to share about the awful tragedy. She said that all the funds intended to cover her mother, Imee de Lana’s medical expenses for stage 4 breast cancer have been spent.

   

  Gigi De Lana revealed that following her car accident in May, she became a victim of scammers who stole the funds intended for her mother’s medical bills. She said that all her possessions were stolen during a visit to the bank.

  She also included images of herself and her band, The Gigi Vibes, taken in May 2023, a few days after the accident, which she added to Gigi’s post. Then, De Lana remembered how the fraudster had phoned her and even expressed hope for the singer’s quick recovery.

  More so, she explained in another post (through a caption) how some people have been impersonating members of the singer’s crew to mislead customers into sending their money to them.

  To help her mother, De Lana has begun selling personal items; just recently, Gigi auctioned off her two crop tops to raise money for her mother’s medical care.
