Ariana Grande hits biggest streaming week for pop album

  Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next” tops at no. 1 on the recent Billboard 200 albums chart in the United States in the week ending February 14, according to Nielsen Music.

  It is equivalent to 360,000 album units and it is considered as the biggest week for a pop album over a year. Grande made history where she garnered her fourth number 1 in less than six months.

  Thank U, Next which was released on February 8 under Republic Records, is Ariana Grande’s fourth Billboard 200 Number 1. It also indicates that it is the biggest streaming week ever for a pop album.

  The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
