“Sana Naman, Taumbayan” was the advocacy anthem of 14 music artists hoping that the “hard-earned right” of voting is a power towards an honest and peaceful elections.
Hoping for a positive change, Maysh of Moonstar88 and The CompanY was joined by the National Artist for Music Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, Robert Seña and Isay Alvarez, Mitch Valdez, the Mass Appeal Choir, Jamie Rivera, Jay Durias, Reuben Laurente, Agot Isidro, Myke Solomon, Bayang Barrios and Jed Madela.
In an interview by the Inquirer, Moy Ortiz of The CompanY said that celebrities can use their popularity to remind people about voting and many had died to enjoy this privilege. “We are bound together not by individual personalities but this entity we call the Republic of the Philippines,” he added.
“In this case, it’s the love for our motherland,” he said.
