View this post on Instagrambeabadoobee is renowned for her ability to write heartfelt, passionate love songs. Her song “Glue Song,” which she wrote while traveling around Asia and Australia last year, is reminiscent of her earlier, more acoustic work and is complemented by a beautiful string accompaniment. The Philippines served as the setting for the “Glue Song” music video, which was directed by Jacob Erland.
The “Coffee” singer shared, “I wrote a lot of this song while on tour across Australia and Asia in the back of cars and traveling. It’s a heartfelt song that means a lot to me…. A love song and the first one I’ve written in my new relationship. I usually write these sad songs, in the past with my writing even when it doesn’t sound sad looking back the lyrics usually have been. For the first time, this is just me being really happy. I’m in a positive place for the first time in a long time and feeling love.”
She recorded the song with her guitarist and producer in his house and added trumpets and strings. She went to her hometown and birthplace in Iloilo to film the music video for a personal touch.
She is scheduled for her main European tour in March, as well as an opening act for Taylor Swift’s next stadium tour, “The Eras.”
