Ben&Ben drops new single ‘The Ones We Once Loved’

  The nine-piece Filipino band Ben&Ben released a new, tear-jerking song called “The Ones We Once Loved.” This follows their successful releases of “Paninindigan Kita” and “Langyang Pag-Ibig.” Additionally, they recently collaborated with Indonesian singer-songwriter Pamungkas on the English rendition of “Paninindigan Kita.”

  The new single talks of closure and unsaid words in an ended relationship. Paolo Benjamin Guico of Ben&Ben shares that the song is about intimacy and personality while providing a different take on ended relationships and forgiveness.

  The band quoted, “It’s a song that owns up to one’s faults, makes proper apologies, but also expresses hurt, as breakups are often two-way things.” The band also shared, “We are hoping that this song somehow helps people bridge that gap and feel the importance of really letting go through a multi-faceted forgiveness: one of the other, and of the self.”

  The latest release serves as Ben&Ben’s official single supporting their Philippine send-off concert on September 3 and their tour’s nearing North American leg.
