  • Upon the release of their new single entitled, “Masyado Pang Maaga,” the folk-pop band Ben&Ben encourages fans to continually exert efforts towards the on-going rehabilitation of Pasig River.

Contrary to what President Rodrigo Duterte is saying that the century-old river is already “uncleanable,” the nine-member band said that it’s too early to give up on the rehabilitation efforts.

“‘Nung tinugtog namin yung MPM sa Ilog Pasig, parang kausap kami ng ilog. Narealize kong tama namang napakaaga pa para sukuan natin siya, pards,” one of the twin vocalist Miguel Benjamin said.

Through this, the band also encourages fans to support Pasig River Rehabilitation Project through “Taga-Alog,” a advocacy campaign for the revival of the waterline through art which was launched in June 2018 through the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Philippine Education Theater Association (PETA) and the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC).
