Ben&Ben’s Poch Barretto speaks about the creation of ‘Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay’

  Poch Barretto of the folk-pop band Ben&Ben shared in Twitter how the band had created their latest single entitled ‘Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay.’

  “Nasa bus kami pauwi ng [Manila] when Miguel first played this song for us. Kung paano niya kinanta yung kanta sa recording, ganun mismo ginawa niya sa bus.. INCLUDING THE GUITAR SOLO na kinanta at ginawa niya on the spot,” the guitarist narrated.
  “Imagine niyo yan. Kinanta. Ni. Miguel. Yung. Guitar. Solo,” he stressed.

  The band felt “devastated” and loved the song. That’s why when they arrived to the recording studio, they only changed the last three notes. “Sa sobrang ganda ng solo na yan, pagdating namin sa studio for recording, the only part I changed were the last [three] notes and that’s it,” he said.

  ‘Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay’ was released last February 28 and already topped the Spotify’s Philippines Top 50 a day after and its lyric video reached almost 1.8 million views in YouTube as of this writing.
