BLΛƆKPIИK’s Rose, Jennie reach solo milestones

• Rose and Jennie of the South Korean pop group BLΛƆKPIИK have reached their own milestones on their careers, July 2021.

  The solo debut song of Rose entitled ‘On the Ground,’ has reached 200 million views on YouTube. The music video hit that milestone just after 123 days of release.

  The video also shocked the platform by reaching 100 million within the week of release, the shortest time for a video by K-pop solo female artist. The song also topped in iTunes top songs chart in 51 regions, as well as the Billboard’s worldwide tallies, Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US.

  Meanwhile, Jennie’s single titled ‘Solo,’ surpassed 300 million streams on Spotify by the end of June. This is the first time a K-pop solo act’s song reached the milestone.

  The song was released in November 2018 as part of the band’s solo project. ‘Solo’ topped charts in 40 regions, making Jennie as the first K-pop female musician to top iTunes worldwide song chart and rank among top 10 on iTunes chart in the US.
