World-famous Beatles cover band, The Bootleg Beatles is back in Manila for their “Magical Mystery Tour.”

The Bootleg Beatles is set to perform the greatest hits of arguably one of the biggest groups in the world, the Beatles which will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Plenary Hall, Manila tonight, October 30, 2022, 8:00 PM.

The Bootleg Beatles Philippine tour originally included Cebu and Davao concerts but was cancelled due to local licensing problems and unforeseen production logistics

This is the third time the band has visited the country and had performed sold-out concerts way back 2016 and 2018.

“The world’s first & finest tribute band, The Bootleg Beatles’ stunningly authentic shows pay note perfect musical homage to the Fab Four.” As their Twitter bio, the British cover-band is composed of Steve White as Paul McCartney, Stephen Hill as George Harrison, Tyson Kelly as John Lennon, and Gordon Elsmore as Ringo Starr.

The band has been covering the iconic Beatles band since it was established on March 26, 1980, after the Beatlemania and had several line-up changes since then.

“Yeah, the band started in 1980 and the original members now managed the group, we have been doing this for about 10 years now, with this line up so they keep a very close eye on what we do to make sure we are making The Beatles justice and The Bootleg Beatles Justice because they started it. It has been a long time, we’ve not been here for about three years so we want to come back and give the best show because this is one of our favorite places (Philippines) we want to give the Filipino people justice as well and give them a good night Stephen Hill said in their press conference.

The “Magical Mystery tour” is going to be memorable because the band will be featuring a special set to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Beatles’ album “Please Please Me”

which introduced us some of their greatest hits like “Twist and Shout” and “I Saw Her Standing There.”

With over 200 songs from the Beatles, you may be wondering how do they select their songs to perform. Steve White said in their press conference, “It’s very difficult to choose which songs to perform because although you do get fans that are  immersed in the Beatles and loved them so much, you also get fans that are slightly more casual. They know a few of the songs but they wouldn’t know some other songs, so we have to take that into consideration when choosing a setlist. What we try to do is we try to choose a set list which is catering for each and every fan as much as possible.”

There may be a typhoon in the country as of the moment but it will not stop them to perform for their Filipino fans.
