Britney Spears announces engagement to Sam Asghari

  Pop superstar Britney Spears has announced her engagement with longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari, September 12, Sunday.

  Spears has posted a video of herself with Asghari showing off the ring on her hand. “I can’t f***ing believe it,” she said in the caption. Asghari later uploaded a photo of them kissing while Spears extending a finger showing her ring.

  Asghari’s manager Brandon Cohen confirmed the couple’s engagement. “The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them,” he said in a statement.

  Britney Spears has been subjected to a series life struggles with the issue of a 13-year-old conservatorship partially controlled by her father. The next court hearing in the case is scheduled for September 29.
