Pop star Britney Spears has lambasted the recent documentaries about her life and career, May 4, Tuesday.
In February 2021, The New York Times and Walt Disney Co’s FX network has released documentary entitled ‘Framing Britney Spears,’ examining the singer’s rise to fame up to her widely publicized breakdown. Recently, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) released in Britain a documentary entitled ‘The Battle for Britney: Fans, Cash and a Conservatorship.’
Spears called these documentaries ‘hypocritical.’ She stressed that documentary makers rehashed her personal problems and eventually critiquing the media for reporting them for the first time.
On her Instagram account, she wrote, “So many documentaries about me this year with other people’s takes on my life … what can I say … I’m deeply flattered !!!! These documentaries are so hypocritical … they criticize the media and then do the same thing.”
“I don’t know y’all but I’m thrilled to remind you all that although I’ve had some pretty tough times in my life … I’ve had waaaayyyy more amazing times in my life and unfortunately my friends … I think the world is more interested in the negative,” she added.
