Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes announce breakup

  Cuban-American singer Camila Cabello and Canadian pop star Shawn Mendes have announced breakup after two years of being in a relationship, November 18, Thursday.

  In a separate but resembling Instagram stories, Cabello and Mendes released a statement about the status of their relationship and decided to still be friends.

  “Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends,” Cabello and Mendes wrote.

  Cabello and Mendes became friends in 2014 and collaborated in 2015 for the song ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer.’ The two confirmed their relationship in September 2019. Their breakup was a surprise to fans after seeing them celebrating their second anniversary at the Carribean in July 2021.
