Celine Dion just got snubbed by Rolling Stone which published its list of “The 200 Greatest Singers of All Time,” and fans did not let it slide.
On Sunday, January 1, the American magazine delivered a list of vocalists who met their standards for “originality, influence, depth of an artist’s catalog, and the breadth of their musical legacy.” The Priestess of Pop was not one of them.
Consequently, supporters of the 52-year-old singer then expressed their dismay through Twitter, making “Rolling Stone” and “Celine Dion” two of the top trending topics.
How the hell have @RollingStone missed @celinedion – have they hit their head? Not a great start to 2023 😂😂 https://t.co/6SIPaHyC3Q

If we are going by the mere definition of vocal abilities, then not having Celine Dion is objectively incorrect and would have nothing to do with taste.
If we go by sound, you would still be wrong.
Ergo, there are some headscratchers with rankings, inclusions, and omissions. https://t.co/hZQaQapinb

Look… you can argue Celine Dion’s music is not your cup of tea and that’s fair.
You can argue Celine’s songs are now irrelevant in today’s Billie Eilish generation and that’s also fair.
But to say that Celine Dion is not among all-time greatest singers is unbelievable. https://t.co/wvmLYvE059

Dear @RollingStone. This is Céline Dion.
Leaving her off your Top 200 Greatest Singers of All Time list has to be an honest and regrettable mistake… because doing it intentionally would be criminal.
So… please fix it. pic.twitter.com/ZyM3YYxYzz

Any music list for best singers ever that doesn’t include Céline Dion is automatically invalid to me. That’s the rule.
‘Falling Into You’ was the first CD I ever bought with my own money, and that album is still flawless, and her entire discography is superb. https://t.co/JfvxP6lAeJ

Known for her powerful and technically skilled vocals, Dion has sold over 200 million records worldwide and received numerous accolades and awards during her five decades in the spotlight.
She recently announced she is suffering from Stiff-Person Syndrome, a rare neurological condition preventing her from taking the stage to continue her Courage World Tour.
View this post on Instagram“For me to reach you again, I have no choice but to concentrate on my health at this moment. And I have hope that I’m on the road to recovery. This is my focus, and I’m doing everything that I can to recuperate,” she said.
In addition to Dion, Rolling Stone’s list also excluded singers such as P!nk, Andrea Bocelli, Jennifer Hudson, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Cher, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, Judy Garland, and others.
On the other hand, topping the list were Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Freddie Mercury, Elvis Presley, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish as well as K-pop singers IU and BTS’ Jungkook.
