Charlie Puth, Seal and The Band Perry nails Miss Universe 2015 performance

• Grammy nominees Charlie Puth, Seal, and The Band Perry took the Miss Universe 2015 stage with their performances.

  

  Charlie Puth performed a medley of his hit songs “Marvin Gaye”, “One Call Away” and “Some Type of Love” during the swimsuit competition.

  The Country siblings, The Band Perry rocked the stage with an upbeat rendition of the their songs “Live Forever” and “Done” during  the evening gown competition.

  British singer Seal, sang his hits “Kiss From A Rose”, “Crazy” and a couple of other songs during the final look of the Top 3.

  Philippine bet Pia Wurtzbach was crowned Miss Universe 2015 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wurtzbach was the 64^thMiss Universe and the 3^rd from the Philippines to bring home the coveted crown.

  Prior to her crowning moment, host Steve Harvey made an ‘honest mistake’ by announcing the wrong winner, which took the internet by storm and what publishers coined as an ‘awkward moment.’

  Harvey immediately resolved the mistake by admitting his fault in live TV. First runner-up this year is Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez, while Miss USA Olivia Jordan won second runner up.

  It’s been 42 years since Philippines had taken home the title. Among the of the Filipina Miss Universe winners were Gloria Diaz (1969) and Margarita Moran (1973).
