Former American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry and pop singer Katy Perry is set to join as judges on the upcoming reboot of American Idol according to Us Weekly.
The 37-year-old singer finished in fourth place back in 2006. Taylor Hicks was named the winner that season with ‘Terrified’ singer Katharine McPhee as the runner-up.
Meanwhile, TMZ first reportedly that Katy Perry will be part of the panel of judges of the upcoming reboot. The celebrity news website disclosed that the singer had nearly completed negotiations to be part of the iconic singing competition.
Earlier this month, ABC announced that American Idol will be returning to TV after airing 15 seasons with Fox.
