Singer Britney Spears has once again requested the court to oust her father from the 13-year-long conservatorship and control over her business, July 14, Wednesday.
Speaking for about 10 minutes, tearfully pleaded the court about the issue, Britney, who is now 39 years old, wanted to charge her dad, Jamie Spears, with conservatorship abuse. “You’re allowing my dad to ruin my life. I have to get rid of my dad and charge him with conservatorship abuse,” Spears told the Los Angeles judge by phone.
Jamie Spears has a major role in the conservatorship since 2008, the year when he set it up due to mental health breakdown of her daughter. He is the sole person in charge of Britney’s $60 million estate.
On the counterpart, Britney has won the right to choose her own lawyer to help her with the case. The next hearing was set for September 29.
