Drake, Adele & Rihanna lead Nielsen’s mid-year 2016 charts

Drake’s ‘Views’ and Adele’s ’25’ lead Nielsen Music’s 2016 U.S. mid-year album charts, while Rihanna’s ‘Work’ is the most-streamed song according to Billboard.
From the opening of the year through June 30, Drake’s latest album ‘Views’ is the most popular album in the U.S. garnering 2.6 million equivalent album units. Meanwhile, Adele’s ’25’ ranks second on the most popular album overall with 1.7 million units earned.
Rihanna’s ‘Work’ is the biggest audio stream at the mid-year song tallies with 249.6 million. It is also at the second spot for most-streamed video (261.8 million). ‘Work’ ranks as the fourth biggest-selling song with 1.6 million downloads sold.

Drake, ‘Views’ (2,609,000 units)
Adele, ’25’ (1,747,000 units)
Beyonce, ‘Lemonade’ ( 1,687,000 units)
Justin Bieber, ‘Purpose’ (1,332,000 units)
Rihanna, ‘Anti’ (1,272,000 units)
