Duff McKagan to release lost 1982 LP with former band

• Duff McKagan is set to release the unheard collection seven songs he wrote and recorded in 1982 with his pre-Guns N’ roses band named ‘The Living,’ February 24, Wednesday.

  The EP entitled ‘The Living: 1982’ will be available to the public on April 16. McKagan joined The Living as a guitarist with singer John Conte, bassist Todd Fleischman, and drummer Greg Gilmore.

  McKagan shared his amazement that his old music will finally be published to fans. “Would this even ever get out of our basement?” We had something magical then, and it was ours, so who gives a fuck!” He said.

  “The Living was the beginning of all things Seattle for me — a turning point in my life. I joined a band and a community. These guys are still my brothers. I’ve cherished these recordings since the days we made them. This record is a fantastic document of a loaded moment. I love it.” Gilmore said in a statement.
