Easy Rock celebrates its 11th anniversary

• DWRK 96.3 Easy Rock has celebrated its 11th year anniversary, July 8, Wednesday.

  Shifted into 96.3 Easy Rock, it has become one of the successful FM radio stations of Manila Broadcasting Company. It is known for its popular promotional slogan, “Remember Someone Today.”

  To date, it has seven active provincial stations namely: Baguio in Northern Luzon, Bacolod, Boracay, Iloilo, and Cebu in Visayas, Cagayan de Oro and Davao in Mindanao.

  It was also hailed as number one radio station at work and on the road through its music and the entertainment value given by its jocks on air and online.

  One of the newest member of the Easy Rock family, DJ Shai shared about her simple beginnings and considered her work in the station as an answered prayer.

  “I feel like I’ve come full circle in a sense, because I’ve literally went around. From being a probinsyana DJ in Easy Rock Zamboanga, to being called in to fly to Manila to be part of the Love Radio roster, and to extend my talents to Yes the Best, only to come back home– and to the home station at that– Easy Rock Manila. If you haven’t read my story on my Instagram, I shared that working for Easy Rock Manila was a prayer, and it ended up being answered roughly around six years later.” DJ Shai said.

  On the other hand, one of the pioneers, DJ Sam expressed her gratitude to all who have supported the station for the past 11 years.

  “Thank you for staying with us all these years! Its truly an honor to provide wholesome and relaxing entertainment everyday to all of you. Thank you for keeping us inspired to do better! We will do our best to positively influence you and relieve you of the daily stress by playing good music and providing only feel good talks on the radio.” DJ Sam said.

  Easy Rock is totally active in social media that its Manila station has 171,144 followers on Facebook, 11,363 on Twitter, 6,543 on Instagram and 2,901 subscribers on YouTube, as of the writing. Follow us!
