Ed Sheeran announces new music on social media

  Singer/Songwriter Ed Sheeran announced on his social media accounts that he will be releasing a new song on Friday according to Billboard.

  In a short clip Sheeran posted on Twitter, the singer is silently holding up a handwritten sign with the message, “New music coming Friday!!”

  In December 2015, the British singer announced that he would be quitting social media for a while, “I’m taking a break from my phone, emails and all social media for a while,” he wrote. “I’m taking this opportunity of me not having to be anywhere or do anything to travel the world and see everything I’ve missed.”

  Last month, Sheeran went back to his social media accounts, posting a cryptic blue image which is rumored to be linked with his upcoming new music.

  Sheeran’s most recent album, X, was released in June 2014 which featured some of his known songs like ‘Thinking Out Loud’ and ‘Photograph’.
