Ed Sheeran quits Twitter because of internet trolls

  Award-winning singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has quit Twitter because he couldn’t take the hate and abuse from internet trolls according to The Guardian.

  In an interview with The Sun, the singer said: “I’ve actually come off Twitter completely. I can’t read it. I go on it and there’s nothing but people saying mean things.”

  The ‘Shape of You’ singer said that fans of Lady Gaga were responsible for the overwhelming abuse. “[They] read an interview in which they assumed I was talking about her and they all fucking hate. And it wasn’t anything to do with that at all,” Sheeran continued.

  The British singer/songwriter’s latest album ÷ have already sold 8 million copies in just three months and had headlined the recent Glastonbury festival in the U.K.
