Enrique Iglesias was hailed as Billboard’s first-ever Greatest of All Time Latin Artists chart, October 21, Wednesday.
The Latin pop superstar was honored for his achievement at the 2020 Billboard Latin Music Awards. The Greatest of All Time Latin Artists chart is based in a formula which blends all titles tallied on both weekly Hot Latin Songs and Top Latin Albums when it was launch on October 1986 and July 1993, respectively.
Iglesias got the award because of his first entry to the chart entitled “Si Tú Te Vas,” entered over 25 years ago. The track went to the top for eight weeks and first of a record of 27 number ones. He spent in the chart for 189 weeks, in total.
Joining him in the chart are Luis Miguel who ranked number two, the late legend Selena on the third spot, Marco Antonio Solis on fourth and at the fifth spot, the genre veteran Vicente Fernández.
