It’s been seven hours and fifteen days.
Foo Fighters brought out a special guest Alanis Morissette in their appearance at Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival, and performed O’conner’s hit single “Mandinka.”
O’Connor passed away last week after being found unresponsive in her London home.
The Irish singer was 56.
No cause of death has been released to the public, but London Police say that it is not being treated as suspicious.
During the Foo Fighters’ performance, the band’s frontman Dave Grohl announced that they’re singing the song (Mandinka) for a reason.
Alanis Morissette further added, “Yes, for a beautiful woman with high intelligence and deep empathy, way ahead of her time, who is no longer with us.”
Other singers paid their tribute to the late singer by singing her hits such as “Nothing Compares 2 U” which was covered by Pink and Brandle Carlile performed in one of Pink’s concert tours.
