The world-acclaimed singer Elton John gets the Legion of Honor award, the highest award of France, at the presidential Elysse Palace courtyard for an event of the annual “Fete de la Musique.”
Along with French President Emmanuel Macron, John spoke to the multitude of people packed inside the courtyard and calls for an extensive measure towards AIDS’ research and treatment.
“To receive this decoration the day of the Fete de la Musique makes it even more special,” said John.
John has his own foundation that concerns with AIDS and it recently celebrated its 25th year foundation anniversary.
