H.E.R. to play Belle in ABC’s Beauty and the Beast hybrid special

Five-time Grammy winner H.E.R. announced that she will play as Belle in ABC’s Beauty and the Beast hybrid special.
On an Instagram post she wrote, “Practicing my Disney princess in Nice. You’re looking at the first Black and Filipino Belle…. I’ve always wanted to be a Disney princess.”
The hybrid special is in celebration of Beauty and the Beast’s 30th anniversary. The songs will be performed in front of a live audience at Disney studios.
Beauty and the Beast was released in 1991 and won two Oscars namely Best Original Score and Best Original Song.
