CALLING ALL THE FILIPINO THEATER KIDS!
GMG Productions is bringing the globally acclaimed musical Hamilton to Manila this coming September 2023 at The Theater at Solaire in Parañaque! The first-ever world tour for “Hamilton” kicks off in Auckland, New Zealand this May.
In a video from the production house, Lin Manuel-Miranda expressed excitement about bringing the show to Asian audiences with Filipino words and catchphrases such as “Kamusta,” the ‘conyo’ greeting/expression “What’s up, dude pare?” More so, the playwright highlighted the presence of many Filipinos in the “Hamilton pamilya” across the globe: Marc dela Cruz, Karla Puno Garcia, Christina Glur on Broadway; Rachelle Ann Go, and Christine Allado on London’s West End.
Tickets will go on sale via Ticketworld on April 24. In the meantime, everyone is encouraged to join GMG Productions’ waitlist. Further details are yet to be announced.

Hamilton is a play entirely written by Lin Manuel-Miranda which debuted in August 2015—from the book to the music and lyrics. It recounts the life of American founding father Alexander Hamilton through music that fuses genres of hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and show tunes. Moreover, it also tells the events revolving around America’s revolt against the British. The Broadway run of the show broke the record for most Tony Award nominations with 16 and won 11 of them, including Best Musical, the second-highest number of wins in Tony’s history. Additionally, it received the Tony, Grammy, Olivier, and Pulitzer Prize for Drama awards.
