The American indie rock band LANY has announced the departure of guitarist Les Priest from the band, April 7, Thursday.
In a statement, the band has told the fans that they are so energized about the future that’s why they are currently composing songs and preparing for a release of a new album.
Priest will be leaving the band after eight years to focus on his personal endeavors, to be a writer and a producer. “We love him and his family with all of our hearts and are forever grateful to him for building LANY with us into what it is today,” they wrote.
“No one will ever be able to replace him so LANY will continue just us – Paul and Jake,” they added.
“8 years ago I was blessed beyond measure with friendship and opportunity. Being in LANY was a true gift. A gift with many ups and downs, joys, and heartaches. There is a time and place for everything. Now is the time for a new chapter,” Priest wrote on his Instagram account.
LANY, or Los Angeles New York, was founded in Nashville in 2014 and rose to fame in 2015 with their hit single ‘ILYSB.’
