ICYMI: LANY congratulates Hidilyn Diaz for Olympic gold win

  The synth-pop band LANY has extended their warmest greetings to Filipino Olympian Hidilyn Diaz after earning first ever Olympic gold medal for the Philippines, July 26, Monday.

  Through Instagram stories, LANY’s vocalist Paul Klein and Charles Leslie Priest, who plays keyboards, have congratulated Diaz with the same photo used in the posting.

  “Congrats to @hidilyndiaz and the Philippines (who have been so unbelievable to my band) on [your] first ever gold medal,” Klein said. “Congrats @hidilyndiaz. Philippines’ [first] GOLD,” Priest wrote.

  On his part, drummer Jake Goss described Diaz’s win as ‘history.’ “History. Mahal kita sobra (I love you so much), Philippines!”
