The Filipino-American artist H.E.R. had her creative way of giving thanks to Filipinos after winning on the 63rd Grammy awards, March 16, Tuesday.
H.E.R., Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson in real life, took Twitter to express her gratitude to her Filipinos by impersonating her auntie, “Tita Joan,” showing how she would react to her victory.
On her post, she wrote, “Shout out to my Filipinos. #pinoypride.” The original content was uploaded in TikTok.
She won on the Song of the Year category for her song entitled ‘I Can’t Breathe” used as anthem for the Black Lives Matter campaign in the United States.
