Singer Janet Jackson gave birth to her first child, a baby boy, at the age of 50 according to BBC News confirmed by the singer’s publicist.
A representative told Jackson and her Qatari businessman husband, Wissam Al Mana, were “thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world”, and that Janet “had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably now,” the rep added.
Rumors afloat on her pregnancy came last April when the singer decided to postpone her Unbreakable tour. The singer then posted a video on Twitter which she told her fans that she was postponing the tour because “there’s been a sudden change”.
“I thought it was important that you be the first to know,” she said, adding: “Please, if you can try and understand that it’s important that I do this now.”
Jackson and Al Mana married in 2012, though they did not reveal their marriage publicly until 2013.
