Jennifer Hudson spreads a powerful message on her newest music video for her song “I Still Love You”, released on June 3.
The Oscar and Grammy-winning artist’s song is a part of her third studio album JHUD.
The storyline of the song is about a gay man who desires for his dad to be at his wedding at W Hotel.
There is a scene where the gay couple were smiling, laughing, dancing and sharing sweet moments together. Then one of their dads came to their room before the ceremony and hugged his son; while the other man has no idea whether his dad is coming or not. Little did he know that his dad was driving heading to the ceremony. When the couple were about to kiss each other the father just made it to the venue.
In the celebration part of the video, Shaun Ross, Claudia Charriez, Leisha Hailey, and Manila Luzon appeared.
Hudson is sharing the proceeds of her I Still Love You album to the ongoing struggle for LGBT equality in all realms.
“I owe a large part of my success to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, who has embraced and supported me from early on in my career,” Hudson said in a statement.
“We have already come a long way on this topic in such a short time, but now it’s time for the final push,” the singer said. “It’s time to ‘turn up’ the volume on this crucial human rights issue.”
