John Mayer drops new song ‘Love on the Weekend’

  American singer-songwriter John Mayer has released a new single entitled ‘Love on the Weekend’, his first original song in three in years according to the Rolling Stone.

  Mayer premiered the new song while at his studio via Facebook Live on Thursday. The new track is part of his upcoming seventh studio album next year.

  ‘Love on the Weekend’ returns to Mayer’s musical roots while retaining his bluesy flair kind of music which cultivated on his last studio albums.

  Last month, Steve Jordan, Mayer’s drummer, revealed that the upcoming album would be titled ‘The Search for Everything’, though Mayer has not officially confirmed the title of the album yet.

  Mayer’s last studio album was ‘Paradise Valley’ which was released in 2013.
