Jose Mari Chan has once got the attention of the Filipino people as the country enters ‘Ber Months,’ August 31, Tuesday.
Hours before September 1, Jose Mari Chan’s name has been a popular topic on Twitter with more than 4,500 tweets. He occupied the 16th spot. Memes about him also surfaced the social media.
In an interview with Mario Dumaual of ABS-CBN News, Chan shared a story about his show that took place in Lanao del Norte where Muslims requested the popular ‘Christmas In Our Hearts’ song and were able to sing along with him during the show. “Imagine, the song was able to cross border. Even Muslims were singing along to that song. Telling that story brings tears to my eyes. It was such a very touching moment in my career. So, thank God for the gift of song, for the gift of music,” he narrated with a teary eye.
Chan was also thankful for all the support for his songs for the last 31 years. He also encouraged the people to be vaccinated. “Christmas is fast approaching and Christmas means family… Very important to be healthy, so I urge, each and everyone one of you to get vaccinated. Protect yourself, protect your family and to protect others and those who are working with you,” he said.
