OPM singer and lead vocals of Juan Karlos band Juan Karlos Labajo took again on social media his sentiments regarding the rejection of a reggae singer on “Idol Philippines” according to ABS-CBN News.
21-year-old singer Luke Baylon from Tuguegarao City auditioned a reggae version of Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You.”
Among the judges, only the Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez voted in favor of Baylon but the rest pointed out that there was something lacking in his performance.
Labajo shared on his Instagram story, “It’s a yes for me. I’m not even gonna argue with the other judges. It’s easy to fix flats and sharps and such imperfections but it’s not that easy to find soul. Kakagigil.”

Labajo felt even sadder after he discovered that Baylon is the same guy who did an amazing cover of his hit song “Buwan.”
“Huge shame on the other ‘judges’ for not seeing this guy’s potential. What a shame. Such a shame. I’m ashamed,” he said.
