Kim Chiu releases viral “Bawal Lumabas” blunder into a song

• Singer and actress Kim Chiu has released the song “Bawal Lumabas: The Classroom Song” weeks after she went viral over her rant on the delayed franchise renewal and shutdown of ABS-CBN.

  Chiu’s statement was, “Sa classroom may batas, bawal lumabas, oh bawal lumabas. Pero ‘pag sinabi, ‘pag nag-comply ka na bawal na lumabas pero may ginawa ka sa pinagbabawal nila, inayos mo ‘yong law ng classroom niyo at sinumbit mo ulit ay pwede na pala ikaw lumabas.”

  That statement gained most of negative comments commonly from online trolls but on the other hand, she was supported by her colleagues in the industry.

  In a recent statement, she said, “I was really down the past few days… But of course, pag may problema, hindi mo dapat tinatambayan, doon tayo dapat sa option na move forward.”

  “Thank you so much, dahil sa inyo, naging trending yung pangalan ko. At least napasaya kayo,” she added.

  Kim Chiu is one of the artists of ABS-CBN who has been vocal on the shutdown of the broadcast network after a cease-and-desist order was served by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) on May 5, 2020.
