  On October 21 (Friday), OPM duo Leanne & Naara recently launched a new single “Unan” – their first-ever Filipino language song.

  Leanne & Naara are (and have always been) known for their musical style – their unique way of fusing both slow jam and electro-pop. Fortunately, the song falls under the city pop genre; the latter has defined a combination of jazz, funk, and R&B. The genre intends to give its listeners a “big city” feel.

  While many up-and-coming musicians have tried to pull off their take on city pop – exploring the said genre is a no-brainer for the duo. They have their unique way of making it as if it’s a nostalgic yet timeless piece.

  The duo quote, “This is a song about wanting to be beside someone you love and how much greater it’d feel if it weren’t just a pillow.” They also added, “Pairing an upbeat groove with smooth vocal melodies, this city-pop-inspired track will surely make you feel the warmth of longing and asking for someone to give you a chance.”
