LOOK: Lady Gaga as ‘Harley Quinn’ in upcoming Joker sequel

  On Sunday, April 2 – the “Bad Romance” singer/award-winning actress Lady Gaga was seen in New York City on the set of her forthcoming musical film “Joker: Folie à Deux” as Dr. Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn.

  While surrounded by cops, she appears to be welcoming mayhem with her arms extended wide and a menacing smile. It’s unclear from the additional footage captured by bystanders if Gaga performed the brief dance move that was similar to that of the original scene or not.

  In the images, she is seen sporting smeared clown makeup identical to Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck/Joker, alongside a blouse patterned after the signature and Canon Harlequin black and white pattern under a blazer. Fans have even compared it to her look from the 2011 hit “Marry The Night” music video, especially because of the messy bob.

  The artist-actress was also photographed at the location walking down the same staircase that Phoenix’s lead character danced down in the first 2019 box office hit, to which the upcoming Folie à Deux will serve as a sequel, while wearing a large black jacket and gloves but without the Harley makeup she was seen wearing in previous shots.

  Gaga portrays the Joker’s lifelong henchwoman and love interest in Folie à Deux. Her character gained notoriety in the 1992 animated television series Batman: The Animated Series.

  “Joker: Folie à Deux” is out in theaters on October 2024.
