Ed King, who was a former Lynyrd Skynyrd band guitarist dies because of cancer. He was 68.
King succumb to death Wednesday in Nashville, Tennessee according to a family friend Scott Coopwood. Funeral arrangements are to discuss by the family as of the moment.
King joined the band in 1972 and has been part of the first three albums on the distinct guitar sounds. He was credited on “Saturday Night Special,” “Working for MCA” and “Sweet Home Alabama” that made Lynyrd Skynyrd well-known.
Ed King was also an original member of Strawberry Alarm Clock group in California.
