Michael V. comments, reports FB pages against reuploading original material

  • Actor-comedian Michael V. has commented and reported Facebook pages which have reuploaded his original video material, just hours after its release, April 8, Thursday.

    Just moments after he uploaded his ‘Essential Lang’ parody song, Michael V. has discovered that some Facebook pages and YouTube channels had reuploaded his original material as their own.

    “PAKIUSAP: Pakitanggal ‘tong video. P’wede i-share ‘yung link pero hindi allowed ‘tong direct posting ng material ko. Ini-report ko na ‘to at ‘yung ibang nag-upload sa Facebook and in a few days, baka makatanggap ka na ng COPYRIGHT STRIKE ‘pag hindi ito dinelete so please lang, kabayan,” Michael V. commented in a certain RobinhooD1992 Facebook page.

    Not an isolated incident in social media, Facebook pages and YouTube channels often pirate content from popular and original creators to gain viewers and revenues from the said materials.
