Michael V releases parody song about ‘lugaw’ incident

• Actor-comedian Michael V. has released a new parody song about the viral porridge incident, April 5, Monday.

  The title of the song is ‘Essential Lang,’ in the tune of ‘Torpedo’ song of Eraserheads, which Michael V. has given a comedic element in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel.

  “Marami nga diyan/ Mga kainan nalulugi/ Pero curfew ngayon/ Hindi na nga sila nagbukas/ Medyo nanggigil/ Nagalit pa sa ‘kin/ Ide-deliver ko lang naman/ Sumusunod lang ang rider niyo.” The comedian sang in lyrics.

  Rice porridge or commonly called as ‘lugaw’ was barred in checkpoint in San Jose del Monte City in Bulacan after a barangay official insisted that ‘lugaw’ is not essential during lockdown.

  The Greater Manila Area is currently under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) due to the recent surge of COVID-19 cases. Curfew hours are 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following day.
