  ‘Stranger Things’ star Millie Bobby Brown has announced her engagement to boyfriend Jake Bongiovi. The couple shared the news on their respective Instagram accounts with sweet posts showcasing the 19-year-old’s diamond ring. As fans and friends alike celebrate their love, one song seems to capture the joy and excitement of the moment: Taylor Swift’s ‘Lover.’

  The actress shared a photo of her fiancé, the youngest of singer-songwriter Jon Bon Jovi’s four children, hugging her from behind on a beach. Alongside the image, Brown wrote, “I’ve loved you for three summers now, honey, I want ’em all 🤍”

  The statement alludes to Swift’s track ‘Lover,’ wherein she croons the same phrase before launching into the chorus, “Can I go where you go?/ Can we always be this close forever and ever?/ And ah, take me out, and take me home (forever and ever)/ You’re my, my, my, my lover.”

  Meanwhile, Bongiovi posted two photos on social media. The first one captured the couple from behind with the ocean waves in front of them. The other one displays them enjoying on a boat ride while Bongiovi gazed lovingly into Brown’s eyes. In his caption, he used the word “Forever 🤍”

  Consequently, pop superstar Taylor Swift threw her support for the couple’s love story by liking the post. Released in 2019, her song ‘Lover’ is a beautiful ode to romance and commitment, with lyrics that speak to the deep connection between two people in love. In fact, it’s widely believed that the song was inspired by Swift’s then-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. Swift and Alwyn dated in 2016 until their reported breakup in April 2023. More than lovers, they were creative music collaborators who worked on songs such as ‘Exile,’ ‘Coney Island,’ and ‘Sweet Nothing’ among others.

  In the same manner, it’s a perfect match for Brown and Bongiovi, who have been dating for over a year and seem to have found true happiness with each other.
