Moonstar88 inspires to be a guiding light with new single ‘Parola’

  Bagong taon, bagong kanta, bagong pag-asa.

  Moonstar88 has launched a new song titled ‘Parola’ that offers advice to new lovers.

  According to the quartet, ‘Parola’ sings about how people can be each other’s guiding light that never burns out, especially for those who need it.

  Written by Herbert Hernandez, the track was inspired by the breathtaking and lovely views of Batanes. Moreover, its lyrics were based on the sights in the province, including the House of Stones (Bahay na Bato) and the flowers that surround it.

  However, it was the parola or lighthouse, one of Batanes’ main attractions, that blew his mind.

  The pop-alternative band also shared a clip showing the recording of their latest single produced by Raymund Marasigan and Buddy Zabala.

  ‘Parola’ is the band’s second single from their upcoming album “Lourdes 2088.” This also follows their September 2022 release ‘Next Week.’

  Moonstar88 is a pop-alternative band composed of Maysh Baay (vocals/guitar), Buddy Zabala (bass), Bon Sundiang (drums/vocals), and Herbert Hernandez (lead guitar). They are behind the hit Pinoy love anthems such as Torete, Migraine, Gilid, Sulat, among others.
