The indie band Ben&Ben was named by National Geographic Asia as ambassador to fight plastic waste in the region.
#PlanetOrPlastic is now the advocacy of the band as they were proclaimed as the first Filipino band to be ambassador.
On their Instagram account, Ben&Ben expressed their excitement as they were tapped for the project. Their performance at a restaurant, “Hummingbird” and “Fall” songs were streamed on the official Facebook page of National Geographic Asia.
The band was recognized recently for their advocacy against waste pollution and their efforts to revive the Pasig River through music.
