  Health advocate Dr. Anthony Leachon reveals Ogie Alcasid‘s plans and collaboration to hold an online concert for health frontliners, September 5, Sunday.

  On his Facebook live this evening, Leachon told viewers that his health advocacy organization named ‘Kilusang Kontra Covid’ or ‘KilKoVid’ has partnered with Alcasid to raise funds for the benefit of healthcare workers in light of the ongoing pandemic surge. They have started discussions early Sunday night. Details of the upcoming show will be unveiled soon.

  Alcasid already started a show on streaming application Kumu entitled ‘OA para sa Frontliners: Makabagong Bayaning Pilipino’ having the same endeavor. On his Facebook page, Alcasid also shared Leachon’s post and said, “It is my honor to serve. hallelujah!”

  Leachon mentioned that KilKoVid will coordinate with the 54 Healthcare Professionals Alliance Against COVID-19 (HPAAC) to address the needs of frontliners. The health advocate also hopes that other artists shall step up to collaborate with Alcasid in helping the healthcare workers in the country.

  The advocacy has become special to Ogie Alcasid after his father, Herminio Alcasid, succumbed to COVID-19 in September 2020. He released a song as tribute to his late father.
