Olivia Rodrigo wins 3 Grammys, accidentally drops a trophy

• American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo has won three awards at the recent 64th Grammy Awards, April 4, Monday.

  The breakout music star bagged Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘drivers license,’ and Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘Sour.’

  Rodrigo was reported to broke one of the trophies she received. She dropped the trophy while facing the photographers in a backstage photo opportunity at the event. Grammy trophies can be fragile after the trophy hit the red carpet. Rodrigo was shocked by what happened.

  By winning the ‘New Artist’ award, Rodrigo joined the esteemed company of Carly Simon, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Tom Jones, the Beatles and Billie Eilish. On the other hand, Rodrigo was not the first to have dropped a Grammy trophy, fellow American pop star Taylor Swift broke a trophy in 2010.
